We finished the short story by Ruben Dario, which was a very humorous account of Dario's first disastrous attempt at writing poetry. We then started reviewing the command form as a way of easing into the subjunctive.
We read the textbook about Nicaragua - a short narrative about its history through the Sandinistas and the return to a "democracy". We then started reading a short story by Ruben Dario, a writer from Nicaragua.
We spent time reading our textbook's chapter on Spanish history and present Spain. We discussed Franco and the Spanish Civil War. We also reviewed a movie Brianna watched last semester, Pan' Labyrinth, which took place during the Spanish Civil war and put it into context.
