We finished reading about Guatemala today (Antigua), then read about the ruins of Teotihuacan. We had open conversation about travel and summer plans. We then wrapped up our work on the subjunctive so we can move onto the conditional.
We spend half the session reading and discussing Guatemalan history. We talked about the struggle of the indigenous groups, and Civil War, and Rigoberta Menchu. We then moved to the subjunctive. We reviewed the rules of using the subjunctive when expressing doubt, opinion, or uncertainty.
We reviewed command forms (tu, usted, ustedes in affirmative and negative), the Briana took her quiz (100%). After the quiz we started on the subjunctive (present). We reviewed how to form with regular and irregular verbs, and in what instances it is use.
