Anna- Proof reading- finding mistakes such as verb usage, capitalization and end marks. Writing contractions.
Quinn- Writing complete sentences using capital letters and the proper end mark.
Quinn and Anna went to the computer lab and worked on the BrainPop Jr. website to learn more about maps. They watched several different map-related videos and played the follow-up interactive games, as well as taking the comprehension quizzes. Following their time in the lab, we played I Spy using a map to differentiate different oceans and land masses.
Compare two-digit numbers using symbols. Practice it on the white board. Discuss that place value can be used to compare and order numbers. Using symbols: <, >, = . Two worksheets to practice.

Lesson Outline
Continued with "C" poses: new poses included candle, chair and camel; practiced cobra, cow/cat. Quinn and Anna tried some challenging poses today: half bow, wheel and handstands. We played a Fish game with a stuffed fish where we each picked out different poses when it was our turn. Class ended with a few minutes of free play and relaxation.

We did not get a chance to start our breathing lesson which will be rescheduled for next week.
We had another very good session today. Anna and Quinn were very well behaved and had no problem getting the game started. Today I tried to get them to think out each move before acting. They often will just move a piece, without looking to see if they can take one. We'll keep working on it.
Ana: Continue basic finger exercises and C major scale; introduce first song, Birthday Party, from Teaching Little Fingers to Play.
Quinn: First songs using 3 string G and C chords.

Both Anna and Quinn had a great session. Anna really did well with playing her new song. Her confidence level was really good, and she was very excited about playing her first real song. Quinn also did well as we played the songs Brother John, and Row Row Row your Boat.
Quinn- Introduced the welded sound "all". Worked with words that have bonus letters.
Anna- Worked on identifying welded, digraphs, bonus letters and blends in words and marking the words
