Lesson Comments
Quinn: Quinn had to be refocused several times from teasing his sister and banging on the piano. Once he was under control, he played his chord progression very well. He forms his chords nicely and has good tone and clarity. We do need to work on paying attention to keeping a steady rhythm and not playing haphazardly.
Ana: Ana had a really good session. At one point she was starting to become frustrated, but we were able to simplify what she was doing and her confidence boosted tremendously. By the end of the session, she was playing her full octave C major scale with proper technique, and the Stepping and Skipping song with both hands.
Anna and Quinn were a little restless today. We've had a lot of fun the first two times I worked with them and I think they thought we were there to have fun more than learn about chess. Both were very hard to keep on task, but I think we worked it out for next week.
