We had an interesting beginning. Ana was fully involved and participated effectively, helping me with the rules of "No Stress Chess." Quinn was a reluctant participant at first. He later settled in and played one game.
The Language of Addition/vocabulary, Activity-word sentence
Lesson Outline
Students will be familiar with much of the vocabulary (addition sentence, add, part, equals) involved in addition exercises and story problems. They will cut cards, paste them and explain they meanings.Activity: in this activity , students will show word sentence with crayons and then record them. They will write and draw in their notebook.

Both students completed the addition sentences. Quinn needs more time to finish. He gets fast tired and then the attention becomes very short.
Fitness & strength training. Work on focus and discipline drills and review of basics. Talk about the importance of putting discipline in every single move and work on the form of a punch do jumping, squats, upper body workout

They were very playful but we managed to work on focus and discipline drills and review of basics. They have grown up a bit more. Quinn needs to build his self Confidence.
Intro to Yoga; Intro to each other; class etiquette, basic yoga poses
Lesson Outline
After Introductions, we talked about some of the things we'll be doing in yoga class. We started with some basic yoga poses: cat, down dog, snake (cobra), rock the baby, moon toes. We also talked about safety in class and the importance of focusing before our movements. Quinn enjoyed using the yoga ball and other equipment in the room for the last part of class. We ended class with learning about "Namaste" and calming with lavender lotion.
