Group project, making rein deer and Christmas tree. Reading books related to the project.

Started reading a new chapter book together and discussed the plot. Quinn was not feeling well to his tummy so he went home early.

Introduced new spelling words to both Anna and Quinn.
Quinn- Grammar- singular and plural nouns- how to spell them.
Anna- Read a story about long ago and today. She wrote a paragraph comparing the two time periods. She had a few tears during the process but she did an awesome job!

We read some Christmas stories and used context clues to predict what would happen next in the story.

Anna and Quinn studied for their spelling test then took the test. They both did a great job!

Worked on calendar skills- days of the week, months of the year, how to read a calendar. Listening comprehension- I read a book and Quinn and Anna answered questions about the book.

Anna- Wilson- Reading and spelling nonsense words with 2 syllables
Quinn- Grammar- Using commas to separate nouns. Quinn had a very difficult time understanding this concept. We will have to go over this again.

We read about the tradition of the three wise men in Latin American and Spain, through the eyes of two little boys.

Students were watching the video, "where the cinnamon come from". They were making a cinnamon dough. Using cookie cutters they were making their cinnamon ornaments.
