weekly questions

We finished up with all the questions for the week, and had a good discussion about preparation for the mid-term exam next week. I stressed that Brandon needed to do the prep work to make sure he does well on the exam. (He didn't want to do any of that during the supply chain management course.) I think he's getting the material and should be in good shape to study next week.

weekly questions

We started working on the homework questions for chapters 4-8 this week. It was a bit slow going as the questions were rather vague, but we managed to get through a good portion of them. We'll finish up the questions for the week tomorrow.

We started with going through the lecture materials for week 2, and then worked on the discussion post for this week. It took a while to come up with a solid answer, but in the end it worked out well.

Finish Discussion Board and Response
Lesson Outline
Brandon was able to finish his 500-word discussion board post today, and I was really impressed at how well he cited the sources from the reading and how he incorporated details from the text in his answer. Brandon is a very strong writer, and I am glad that he can showcase his talents in this type of academic forum. After he finished, he responded to one of his peers.

Discussion Post, Reading
Lesson Outline
Brandon began writing his discussion post to get started on the assignment. He had a nice bit written, so we went back to the drawing board on the week's readings. Reading independently and noting areas of importance, we were able to gather most of the information necessary for the 500-word post. We made good headway, and I am confident that we will finish tomorrow.

Early Civilizations Reading
Lesson Outline
Brandon's professor posted this week's readings (a whopping 3 documents at about 40 pages each!). Brandon and I had a lot to do, so we looked at our assignment for the week (discussion post of 500 words on how the Plague affected the relationship between the people and their religious beliefs/ministers). We read through the first document with this focus in mind, highlighting and taking notes for what we might use. At the end, we compiled a mini outline for this reading. Brandon won't be in tomorrow, so we agreed to schedule a session on Friday to make sure that we complete everything on time.

Weekly Work, Precalculus
Lesson Outline
Brandon's professor was behind on posting this week's readings for his Early Civilizations course, so we spent some time making sure that Brandon was caught up on his assignments for his marketing course. He had some homework to complete, so we worked on those for a bit. Brandon expressed an interest in completing the rest of his Precalculus work, so he spent the rest of our time together doing that.

Topic Questions for Chapters 1,2

We started working on the weekly questions today. This class is definitely going to require a lot of effort from Brandon as there are discussion posts and weekly questions on top of the reading. We got through the first two chapters today and should be in good shape to finish up tomorrow.

Discussion Post

Today we worked on the discussion post for the week, and chose the topic of the importance of Baby Boomers in modern marketing. We have the text book now, and were able to put together a solid answer. Brandon definitely seems more engaged than he was before he took his "break" last semester.
