Today we went over possible defenses to the formation of a contract. We spent a lot of time talking about the impact of mistakes of fact, both bilateral and unilateral. We had a good discussion about it as it is a topic ripe with examples. We then talked about Fraud in the Inducement, which Brandon was very interested in as it mostly deals with real estate purchases. All in all, it was a productive session.

Capacity and Legality
We had a long session today, but I think it went very well. We worked our way through the biology of the nervous system, which Brandon in which Brandon isn't that interested. We then worked through the discussion posts, and he should be in good shape for that class. In Business Law, we went over Capacity and Legality in the formation of contracts, which I had briefly touched on last week. He seems very interested in the class and has done a great job following the discussion and understanding the laws. I'd still like him to put a bit more effort into the reading, if nothing else, the cases contained in the chapter.
We spent the majority of the session reviewing the material we've covered this week. Brandon did a very good job of retaining most of the information, but there were some finer points of the law we needed to go over. The quiz itself was much shorter and easier than we anticipated. He got a 4/5 on the quiz, but that was due to a technical glitch when he thought he saved the answer but didn't.

which is not necessarily a good thing as Brandon already tries to do the bare minimum of work.
Brandon worked very hard to complete two of his Business Dynamics quizzes. He did a great job on both of them! Brandon expressed that his Business Law class required some extra work this week, so we spent some time going through the course readings. Brandon finished his secondary posts in Intro. to Psych. Everything was completed by the end of the day.
Brandon spent a lot of his time writing the secondary discussion posts for each of his courses. Afterwards, Brandon completed the reading for his first assignment in Business Dynamics, and he ended with a plan for his upcoming paper. This first week has been packed with assignments, but Brandon has done a good job of keeping everything organized and making sure that he works to capacity. We will finish all of the week's assignment by tomorrow.

We finished up covering the reading for the week by going over consideration (bargained for exchange) and discussing how the court interprets reliance on the contract. We then applied all of the material to the discussion post and came up with a pretty solid answer. I recommended that we meet again tomorrow, as I think he needs to review the material a bit more before he takes the quiz for the week. (We didn't meet on Monday.)
We continued talking about the formation of a contract, and today focused on offers and acceptance. We talked about what constitutes legal offers and forms of acceptance, counter-offers, and rejections. Brandon seems to be following the material pretty well, but would be better served if he did some of the reading on his own. We started working on his discussion post for the Michael Irvin case, and should have that wrapped up tomorrow.
Introduction

formation of contract
Today was our first day and there was a little bit of time spent getting everything organized, signed in, and accessing the book. We talked about what a contract is, went over the different types of contracts, and generally discussed the requirements for a valid contract. Brandon is going to have to put a little more work into this class, and at the very LEAST needs to read the different cases included in the reading.
Intro to Psych. Discussion Questions, Business Dynamics
Lesson Outline
Brandon spent some time reading chapter 1-2 in his Business Dynamics textbook, which provided some definitions that were needed for his PowerPoint presentation. Brandon was able to answer the two discussion board questions for this class. Afterwards, Brandon moved onto his Introduction to Psychology course, and we spent some time discussing those questions and how to best approach Brandon's answers. Very productive session.
