Brandon did well on his introduction to psych. exam, and he spent the rest of his time writing the 2-page paper due for the class. For this assignment, Brandon had to write about a current event that dealt with one of the topics from the chapter readings. Brandon chose to write about sleep, and we found an article that dealt with a recent study which found that sleep deprivation is becoming an epidemic among American adults. Brandon discovered that this article dealt with concepts like the sleep cycle, melatonin, and the circadian rhythm. Brandon finished the assignment at the end of class, and he was excited for his weekend.
Brandon spent our class finishing the rest of his assignments for Business Dynamics (3 discussion posts, article review, quiz). As we continue through the years, I have been pleased to see Brandon grow into a self-sufficient worker. He knew that he was going to be out 2 days this week, so he made the executive decision to add more time to his schedule so that he could have everything completed at the appropriate time. He enjoys our sessions, feels comfortable with the material and workload, and completes each week's assignments well. He needs very little supervision when working, and uses my feedback to guide his choices. Great, great, great work week.
This week Brandon had a lot of work to get through, so we spent the first 20 minutes of class compiling a list of assignments for each of his classes (Business Dynamics, Business Law, and Intro to Psychology). After review, we realized that Business Dynamics had the most elements to tackle (4 discussion posts, 1 article review, chapter assignments, and quiz), so we began reading through the Lecture Materials to get a handle on the week's concepts. After reading chapter 3, we completed the subsequent chapter assignment; we did the same for chapter 4. Furthermore, Brandon completed one discussion post, putting us in a good spot for the rest of the week. Lots of work, but Brandon was ready.

Brandon said he needed extra time this week, so we worked an extra half hour.
We finished up our review for the mid-term. I think Brandon has a pretty strong grasp on the material and should be in good shape for the test tomorrow. We worked on his discussion post covering the SOF and finished up all his work for the week.
We continued reviewing for the Mid-Term today. We covered Contractual Capacity and Legality and went through a bunch of hypotheticals. If Brandon does a little work on reading the cases in the book, he should be in great shape.
There is no reading this week in lieu of the mid-term exam, so we're spending most of the week reviewing the material we've already covered. Brandon definitely needs this as he hasn't retained as much of the information as I would have hoped. We spent today going over Agreement (offer and acceptance) and Consideration. I think the review is helping as he seems to have a more concrete understanding of the details of the law now.
Today we continued discussing defenses to the formation of contracts. We focused on undue influence and duress. Brandon needs to take better notes to so he can remember the finer details of contracts. He's forgetting some pretty big issues. We then turned out focus to the discussion post, which we didn't finish, but should wrap up tomorrow.
After reading the PowerPoint to chapters 3 and 4 of the textbook, Brandon tackled some of the web assignments for this course. This involved answering several multiple choice questions that pertained to the readings and completing an additional exercise. Brandon did well on both assignments. We then moved on to the discussion board post, which required Brandon to answer about the ethics surrounding hiring a friend who is not necessarily the most qualified for the position. Good work, Brandon.
Brandon chose to work on the completion of his Business Dynamics assignments today, which involved responding to two peer posts in the discussion board, writing a mini-essay on a business article of his choice, and taking two quizzes. Since the quizzes are of the shortest duration, Brandon tackled these first. He did well, scoring an essay 10/10 on both chapter assessments. Brandon then moved on to the mini-essay, which took up the majority of class time, as Brandon was asked to apply one of the concepts from the week's textbook reading to the article. In the end, Brandon responded thoughtfully to two peer posts. Lots of work, but Brandon got it done!
