Brandon spent most of his time studying for and taking the 50-question Quiz 3. Brandon was very effective in his assessment of incorrect vs. correct sentences, and he did a very good job of answering most of the quiz questions. We will wait and see what he scored on his test.
Brandon read through the rest of his lecture materials to get a jumpstart on his discussion board. For today's post, Brandon simply needed to acknowledge the other students' replies and offer some points of consideration. After, Brandon read through the chapter content to prepare for his Quiz 3.
Brandon worked on his highlighting the chapter for this week and writing his discussion posts. The material is extremely detailed and complex, and he's had to do more research to write the posts this week.
Brandon took his quiz for the week and it was much more difficult than previous weeks. He scored 7/10 (one off of his average), but it became clear that we have to adjust the manner in which we approach biology each week. Brandon agreed to do more reading and prep work on his own, which should help. He finished up his discussion posts for the week and is in good shape.
We continued working on chapter 3 today. Brandon worked through the chapter while I put together the vocab list for this week. He started working on the discussion posts, but we only were able to get 1 done. One of the posts (glycogen in the liver) prompted a lot of discussion and research, and we ran out of time.
We started working on this weeks chapter for Biology. It's a little more difficult material and I actually convinced Brandon that he needs to read this chapter. We worked our way through the lecture material and started reading the chapter by the end of the session.
Brandon and I read through the lecture materials for English this week, watching the corresponding videos and reading the appropriate pages in his textbook. Brandon seemed eager to finish the week strong, and we were able to finish most of his major assignments.
Brandon and I continued working on his English Proposal, researching sources that would augment Brandon's thesis about discrimination in the workplace based on pregnancy and motherhood. The proposal is coming along well, and Brandon has found much to corroborate his argument.
Brandon spent most of the session working on his practice APA quiz. It was basically a lot of busy work and exceptionally dull. When he was finished he wrote his last discussion post for biology. We completed his vocab list for the week, and he should be in good shape for tomorrow.
