trevor was 30 min. late. We were only able to briefly discuss the chemistry of the parent molecule, pheothizine and look at chlorpromazine from a chemical viewpoint.
Discuss the chemistry of dopamine and the effects dopamine has on specific areas of the brain.
relate the dopamine receptors to those effects based on the area of the brain affected. Concentrate on the frontal cortex. Relate how the typical and atypical antipsychotics work by binding to and being antagonistic to the D2 receptors.
