Trevor will be able to solve trigonometric equations by: 1) basic algebra; 2) factoring; 2) Quadratic Formula. In order to solve these problems, Trevor will need to know and use the Unit Circle. He will also need to know and use trigonometric identities.

Trevor turned in 2 homework assignments today (one late, one on time). He did not do them correctly so I retaught and asked him to try them again (not for credit but for the purpose of studying - he already received credit for his effort). He has one other late assignment.

-- Discussed content of his response paper and the way in which his views of several themes present in the novel have changed after reading Camus' novel.
-- Prepared fourth AP practice test, to be taken Jan. 18.
-- Introduced central idea and background information about our next text, a short story by F. Kafka titled, "In the Penal Colony"
-- Student worked on completion of response paper to THE STRANGER, which was not accomplished and was subsequently (re)assigned as homework. Should the student complete this assignment, we will proceed to discuss answer to a pre- and post-reading survey about themes presented in the novel. The discussion about the themes will be followed by review of narrative structure of the novel.
