-- In preparation for Camus' novel, THE STRANGER, present student with fifty flashcards of vocabulary terms from the novel
-- Have student write a sentence with each word he thinks he knows, and subsequently verify correct usage of word. As far the words he does not know, post them on wall and have him underline these words as he encounters them in reading the novel.
-- Have student continue reading the novel (approx. 15-20 minutes), and subsequently discuss moral character of protagonist.

Lesson Outline
— Conclude discussion of FATHERS AND SONS, with particular attention to development of characters throughout the book and effectiveness of descriptive passages (similar to those characteristic of AP English Lit. exams)
— In preparation for reading of Albert Camus' THE STRANGER, perform pre-readimg activity: provide student with list of ten statements (of morality, ethics and metaphysical concerns); student will have to indicate whether he agrees or disagrees with these statements; student will then have to write a brief position paper about one of these statements (500 words). Student will have to do the same activities after reading Camus' novel, which will allow us to observe if the novel has changed his views on these topics.

Trevor will take the chapter 3 test on Thursday. Over the weekend he will do a cumulative AP practice test on chapters 1-4 (we covered chapter 4 earlier in the year).
using diagrams, discuss the difference between sensory and motor neurons as well as their location within the nervous system.
outline the process involved in nerve transmission- the action of neurotransmitters on the cell membrane causing channels to open and the influx of sodium ions resulting in a depolarization.
