Trevor received a grade of 60% on his chapter 1 test. He completed the review assignment after the test, rather than before the test. I allowed him to correct the questions that he missed for extra points. This time, I gave him half of the points that he missed, which brought him to an 80%. I will make sure he understands that I will not continue to do things like that for him if he does not improve his level of effort. My rule for the future will be: if you do not complete the review assignment, there will be no opportunity for extra points.
