Trevor was 20 minutes late today. He spoke with his virtual school teacher after taking the exam last week. She told him to correct the exam, then contact her. He did the corrections today and sent an email to ask for his next step.
We spoke about the difference between speed and velocity and how to calculate each. The difference between instantaneous speed and average speed and their calculations. How to calculate acceleration, deceleration and what it is. An object in free fall has constant acceleration (gravity=9.81m/s^2.

Lesson Comments
Trevor seems enthusiastic about applying to college, however, is unclear about what to look for and how to decide if a college is right for him. He seems receptive of looking at out of state schools, but realizes the advantages of attending-state. Before actually developing a potential college list, there is some preliminary preparation that will need to be accomplished such as scheduling ACT/SAT tests, reviewing coursework and current GPA as well as preparing his resume. I am excited to begin the college journey with Trevor. It may be more advantageous to schedule more frequent "hour" sessions, rather than 1 1/2 hr sessions since Trevor may have a difficult time focusing for that long of a period. I am going to try to restructure our time together to assist Trevor in staying on task. It is still too early to assess this, however, this is my first impression.
