Trevor was late for his session but got to work once he arrived. He understood the assignment and worked on his sentence outline then began an elaboration of the outline into an essay. He got about two paragraphs done bfore our time was up, so his pace for a timed DBQ could be a lot quicker. I reviewed his progress at the begining and end and found his work to be clear and well thought out.

(This is first session of a two-week unit on the relationship between history and literature, as exemplified by Arthur MIller's play THE CRUCIBLE. The unit also seeks to familiarize student with basic research methodology and handling of bibliographical sources, and thus culminates in the writing a research paper of approximately six to eight pages + bibliography)
— Provide student with three worksheets and two principal historical sources of Miller's play, and prompt him (student) to research and compare historical characters of John Proctor, Abigail Williams and Rev. Parris with their literary counterparts.

The FLVS website was down today. After realizing that Trevor would not be able to take his module 3 exam, I asked him to call Ms. Keating to take the module 4 oral. He completed that. After finishing, we studied for the module 3 exam using an algebra 2 book.
