I gave Jackson some mock-test questions, and as questions came up, I reviewed the necessary methods with him. Jackson did not submit his homework today.
Jackson turned in his research paper today, which I will read tonight and question him about tomorrow. That said, he and I did begin a quite general discussion of his paper today. Thereafter, I administered the Chapter 17 quiz to Jackson. Finally, we began consideration of Chapter 18, focusing on county government, also to be continued tomorrow (in regular and supplemental sessions).
Jackson and I finished and determined a topic for his final paper. He did more research in order to determine which would be the best sub points to include. We began an outline for the paper including a thesis statement. We will continue working on the paper for the next week.

alpha decay problems went well after some brief explanations
Jackson had his usual interesting questions, some of which he was able to look up and determine lthe answers to.
The discussion of the transmutation went back and forth and finally ended with the production of lead from uranium. Jackson always has some interesting questions and "what ifs" which add to the class.
I returned Jackson's graded Chapter 16 quiz (30/30) today and went over it with him. Jackson stated that he would turn in his research paper, and make his oral presentation, on Wednesday, 4/16. We then completed consideration of Chapter 17, addressing various functions and revenue sources of state governments. Discussion was lively.
