Days of the week
Lesson Outline
Today Brogan took a quiz on numbers from 11 to 20 and got a 100! We practiced conversation skills asking, "What is your phone number?". In addition, we learned the days of the week and did flashcards which will help us to remember better. We had a brief introduction to the alphabet and I gave her materials to work on and use as a guide in new school. Lastly, we talked about the influence of French in Middle English and how some English words in the contemporary language come from that period, such as pardon, and RSVP, and many others.

Lesson Outline
Per my conversation with Ms. Yarnell today I have written a Summary for Brogan. I reviewed the 11 lessons but did not write specifics about each one since they are already summarized on the website. I hope this is sufficient for the parents and school files. Thank you!

Ordering Fractions
Lesson Outline
Brogan completed Envision MATH pages for Comparing Fractions using less than and greater than and Ordering Fractions by finding the Common Denominator. She also solved a "Real World" Problem of the Day using fraction comparison by different methods including equivalent fractions. Brogan was very curious what the "dots" in Math meant. By discussing we figured out she was referring to decimals. I demonstrated converting fractions to numbers with decimals.
