We reviewed finding the derivative of natural exponential functions. The we turned around and went the other way and integrated functions of the form u'/u giving us a natural logarithm for a result.

Jess's attitude is fine. I told her to go outside, breathe some fresh air and ride a good horse!
I had Jess complete an SAT Math sub-test prior to class. We used the first half of the session to review those problems with which she had difficulties. (There weren't many.) We used the remaining time to concentrate on and review algebra.

Jess completed the 20-problem sub-test inside of 25 minutes which was impressive. Her attitude is fine although I sense that she's feeling a bit overwhelmed right now.
Jess worked on the essay in class. It was well written and used all the documents but it did not bring in any outside information. This is probably a middle to lower scoring essay. However it was completed in the time provided.

Went over hw review questions- discussed some answers
tied togetherr the total digestive process with the partial digestion at each organ involved.
Jess seemed to follow and was able to answer the hw questions with competeness.
W spent the entire session working problems in which we found derivatives of functions containing the natural logarithm.

Jess is now planning on taking the AP Test for Calculus AB which is a change of plans from last Friday. We ordered copies of the Princeton Review book today, but I'm concerned. This is a decision that should have been made last summer.

Diagrams of the glands and their locations were a help in discussing the physiology of them.
We completed the objectives for each and discussed how they act as "backup" glands to each other. Jess was able to participate easily.
