We were able to discuss the physiology of the first 5 parts of the brain, concentrating on the integration of sensations and motor movement accomplished by these parts. This will lead to a study of the higher regions of the brain and more human characteristics

3)Discuss in-class essay assignment for tomorrow.
We explored the definition of concavity of a continuous ("Concave up" and concave down.") Then we worked a problem in which we used the second derivative test to determine where a function was concave up and/or concave down.
