Today our Lower School artists created their color wheels in paint. We started with our three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue, and they created secondary and tertiary colors on a color wheel activity for their art notebooks. Well done, artists!
Point-Slope Form – We learned to write and graph linear equations in point-slope form. We analyzed different forms of a line to interpret the slope and y-intercept of a linear model in the context of data. We learned how to use the point-slope form of a linear equation to write the equation of a line using the slope and any point on the line.

Pj Went over his spelling homework. He completed an activity demonstrating his ability to recognize the difference between a common noun and a proper noun. He worked on a lesson distinguishing the difference between a verb in the active and passive voice. We began a study of the horror genre. We discussed in detail the elements that compose a horror story.
View and discuss Brownian movement of particles. Discuss how the constant molecular motion allows colloids and suspensions to remain in heterogenous solution. View the Tyndall effect which demonstrates the Browniam motion of particles ranging in size from suspension to colloidal size. Introduce Graham's law of effusion and diffusion of gases and the rate being dependent on molecular mass ratio.

Teddy reviewed and practiced reding and writing his new spelling words. He wrote the 1st 4 spelling words in sentences. He completed several activities using these words in context. He read and discussed story details from this week's 2 stories, "Six Kids," and "Go,Pip." Each day he becomes more fluid as he reads these stories. He explained the definition of a sentence and how the words have to be in a certain order. He worked on several activities demonstrating his understanding of what a sentence is.
