Enrichment
‘Animalia’, by Graeme Base -
Analise and I read the book ‘Animalia’, by Graeme Base. This book provides one illustration for each letter of the alphabet. For each letter, the beautiful illustration contains numerous items, all beginning with the specific letter. Also each page has a boy hiding in amongst the many items. Analise and I examined each page, finding the different items and saying the word associated with the letter. She searched for the boy and in the process, practiced saying words starting with the letter. We spent the rest of the time making our own alphabet pages, drawing whatever we could think of that started with the letter A or B.
Analise participated is a school wide Easter celebration. She started the morning with an Easter egg hunt, searching around the school for hidden eggs. Once all of her eggs were found she opened them to see the treats inside. She spent time outside playing with all of her friends before coming inside to dye Easter eggs. Analise made designs on her eggs with white crayon before dying them blue and green. She also listened to a story time, and jumped rope. She had so much fun participating in the Easter party.
