We looked in his Edline and talked about how little work he needs to do to get much better grades. Hunter has an F in Algebra, but with little effort he could start earning an A. In other words, he has the ability, but his effort is bringing him down. We looked over his last quiz on which he got an F. There were only four rules he needed to know to get an A. When we went over the concepts, they were easy for him. We did his HW on exponential growth and decay functions. Again, he learns quickly, but needs to practice like any other thing he excels at.
Hunter had a history assignment to complete. The assignment was to research and write a paper on an important invention in history. Hunter had chosen to Voltaic Pile. We researched the invention and compiled notes on its inventor and importance in history. Hunter used his notes to write his paper. We finished his paper and saved it to a zip drive to print when he gets home.
