I subbed for Luke today in his speech class. He decided to work on one of his STEM robots, a solar powered car. It is amazing how Luke excels
in following instructions and assembling these robots. He doesn't give up, he just keeps trying till he gets the job done.
Aiden graphed his data points for the mass v volume lab. He calculated slope of each line and compared. He viewed an Amoeba Sisters video on cellular respiration and took notes with diagrams. We discussed.
Matthew built a catapult out of pencils, rubber bands, and a plastic spoon. He experimented with increasing the force of the launch by increasing the number of rubber bands as resistance.
Matthew learned how to use the balance scale. He measured various laboratory objects in grams. He used a spring scale to measure the force in Newtons it took to pull a flashlight, and compared this quantity of force without using a pulley.
