We completed one of her practice tests, and started the next one. There is a bit of practice that she needs to do to review some of the concepts that will be on her IB exam. When she goes over the work that we have done, she should not memorize steps but understand why we do them and how we decide to use them.
We went through the majority of her first review packet for her IB exam. I told her to look through the topics and try to understand the general concept rather than how to solve the individual type of problem. They are testing on conceptual understanding. The numbers and expressions change, but the concepts stay the same.
She brought in a worksheet to go through as a review for her IB exam at the end of the school year. There are a lot of different topics and concepts involved, in which she forgot most of them. She needs to review a lot of the different concepts over some time, her exam is not until May (starting now was a great idea).
Today, I met with Netra for the first time. We reviewed her graded IB paper, and revised the research question to reflect the time and topic of her content. We also edited sentences, punctuation, and word choice, and discussed research, MLA citations, and overall organization.

Lesson Comments
We met from 8:25-10:05 a.m. We extended our meeting time because I was late (my apologies--it was Sunday morning) and she needed more time anyway. We had planned for an hour. I gave her an additional 40 minutes.
