Max was seen for a half hour treatment session which continues to focus on cursive handwriting - high connectors and the letter "x". Today he was asked to write a paragraph in cursive keeping in mind to write the high connectors correctly - we keep score and for the ones he wrote correctly he got a point, if they were written incorrectly a negative point was given for incentive. He did well and is able to form them correctly when he slows down and thinks about his formations. The hardest high connector for him to write is the letter "o" but he continues to be instructed on this letter and when provided with verbal cues and a visual model is able to correct his writing. He continues to need verbal reminders to write the letter "x" correctly. Great session and a pleasure to teach...

Max was seen for a half-hour treatment session which focused on cursive handwriting - high connectors and the letter "x" were instructed. We practiced writing the letters "w, o, b, v, and the letter x". He needs to work on these formations slowly and really think it through to break the incorrect motor memory pattern that is already established.The letter "x" is in his name and he writes that several times daily, again he needs to be reminded to form these specific letters correctly and it will take time to establish a new motor pattern. Great session and a pleasure to teach...

We completed Max's Macbeth assignments during today's session. First, Max worked on the Macbeth vocabulary /literary terms essay. We then reviewed his outline on the pending question : Why is Act I scene (I) effective. Max drafted a topic sentence, and we discussed how to join each of his reasons or arguments by connecting words such as "furthermore, or additionally". I provided assistance in formulating more precise sentences and worked with Max in incorporating quotes from the play into his answer. Last, we examined next week's assignment which is a non-fiction reading comprehension assessment. I provided strategies for addressing the assessment questions, and we worked on the first question by underlining in the text correct responses to first assessment question.

Goals:
-Use the first twenty minutes of class to complete shading exercise 1
-Learn graphite pencil numbers 2h-8b
-Use all the pencils given to shade a sphere focusing on highlights and shadows

-Use the second part of class to complete the top two panels of the 4 panel drawing

Max and I worked on searching of any assignments documented on his computer.

We then discussed WWI speaking to the rise of the Bolsheviks, the exit of Russia from the war.

We then discussed the entry of the U.S. into the war. We discussed the effect that it had on the war.
