Max was seen in his room for a half-hour OT treatment session with focus on cursive handwriting. Max is starting to put prior lesson into writing and was observed to use a high connector "v" correctly when writing his last name "Ivanov". He continues to need reminders to make the letter "x" correctly. We reviewed previously learned capital letters in cursive and learned "C, O, A, E, Q,"and "I, J, and Z". He was able to write them all well.

Max always works hard and has creative ideas. He even brought in magazines that he is drawing inspiration from.
Max learned how light energy is used to make sugars from carbon dioxide and water through the process of photosynthesis. In organisms food moves through a series of chemical reactions and the molecules are rearranged to support growth or release energy. Plants, algae, and microorganisms use the energy from light to make food from carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and water through the process of photosynthesis. These reactants produce glucose and oxygen. Next he learned that cellular respiration in plants and animals involve chemical reactions with oxygen that release stored energy. In these processes, complex molecules containing carbon react with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and other materials.
Max and I checked his History and Geography assignments. Since we could not find any assignments for these subjects, but knew that he may get new assignments tomorrow when his homeschool had their History and Geography classes, we decided to work on Spanish during this time.
We worked on multiple Spanish assignments to which his teacher had given us renewed access.
We started to implement one of his spelling strategies by being silly with some of the accents in his vocabulary like in the word Musica. It seemed to help him with the assignments, but we will later test for long-term retention.
We reviewed his old Spanish vocabulary. We then worked on a new set of vocabulary. We attempted to access and complete a Spanish assignment, but did not have access. We messaged the teacher about access to the assignment.
We printed out a Math assignment for Max.
We then discussed Geography briefly.

At the end of class, Max and I went to say hello to Cabo for the last 3 minutes of class. They share many common interests.
Also, the paper that we printed for Max today was a Math test that he needed printed for the weekend.
I had started to help Max with the test not realizing that it was a graded assignment. He showed great character in stopping me and letting me know that it was a test and should be completed unassisted.
