Max studied the Key points to the methodical Rise of Fascism with Hitler's goal to expand and create a German empire; resulting in the Axis powers vs the Allied Powers and WWII. Additional topics covered: Persecution of minorities within Germany and throughout invaded lands during German expansion, German war effort, Hitler's decision to attack the Soviet Union, the Battle at Stalingrad and ultimate retreat of German forces. Max was given a sheet of paper and given instructions to create a creature that had multiple arms and a large mouth. Max was given 20 minutes to complete his illustration and present his final rendering.
Max was given a shape, along with the instructions to create a character that had one eye only. He was given 20 minutes to create his character and then present his idea.
Max seen for his last session for OT today before he leaves to return to London. We took a cursive exit test to see what he achieved during these last few weeks in OT. He did well and has made nice progress with high connectors and correcting some previous letter formation errors on his own. He continues to require visual reminders and cues to write the capital letters correctly at this time. Cursive handwriting is definitely a functional form of writing for Max. He has been an absolute pleasure to get to know and work with over these past few weeks.

Max told me his mom told him that she was so proud of writing and for the first time she would read her Mother's Day card from him. Yay!!
Max was seen for a half-hour treatment session today with focus on writing in cursive. Reviewed all previous learned letters and high connectors. Instructed on capital letters "D, L, T, and F" also the letters "S and G" and lastly reviewed the letters "I and J". He has now been introduced and instructed on all the capital letters in cursive. He continues to require cues and practice to form correctly.
