In today's class, we continued our discussion on oxidation numbers. Andrew learned what oxidation numbers are, how we use them in chemistry, and how to assign oxidation numbers to elements in a chemical formula. We also looked at some examples as well. Andrew was able to answer all of my review questions I had for him at the end.

In today's class, we continued our discussion on precipitation reactions and also reviewing what we learned on net ionic equations. We talked about how a precipitation reaction occurs, why it occurs, and what forms from its creation. We also recapped how we solve net ionic equations.
In today's class, we would have continued our discussion on precipitation reactions and also reviewing what we learned on net ionic equations. We would have talked about how a precipitation reaction occurs, why it occurs, and what forms from its creation. We also would have recapped how we solve net ionic equations.

Andrew was absent from class today. We will continue our discussion on Monday.
Jaydn continued working on her project. She stated that she is making good progress and that she feels confident with her work. She prefers to show me her work once she finishes it.

In today's class, Andrew worked on some practice problems that deal with net ionic equations. Andrew was given a problem, asked to write out the formulas, write the complete ionic equation and the net ionic equation. Andrew did very well at answering the questions on his own.
