In today's class, Andrew worked on some practice problems that deal with net ionic equations. Andrew was given a problem, asked to write out the formulas, write the complete ionic equation and the net ionic equation. Andrew did very well at answering the questions on his own.

In today's class, we discussed net ionic equations, including how to write them and solve them. We went over why we need to use net ionic equations and how we use them in chemistry. We did plenty of practice problems at well.
In today's class, we talked about weak acids, weak bases, and buffers. We discussed the differences between strong acids/bases and weak acids/bases and the acidity constant and pKa. We also discussed conjugate acids and bases as well.
In today's class, Andrew continued to work on an activity that deals with neutralization reactions. Andrew was given an incomplete equation, asked to find the missing product, balance it, and determine if it is a neutralization reaction or not. Andrew did very well with the problems.
