In today’s class, Andrew worked on a worksheet that tests his knowledge on what he’s learned so far about intermolecular forces. He was given a list of definitions and was asked to pair it with the correct term. Andrew did very well with the assignment.
In today's class, we finished up our discussion on dipole moments and molecular polarity. We talked about what molecular polarity is and how we can determine it in a compound. Andrew answered review questions at the end and then studied his polyatomic ions for the last few minutes of class.
In today’s class, we began our discussion on dipole moments and molecule polarity. We talked about how dipoles form and what significance they hold in the world of chemistry. At the end of class, he also practiced his polyatomic ions.
In today’s class, Andrew worked on an assignment that tests what he learned about VSEPR theory. He was given a series of questions and asked to either write out a response or draw a Lewis structure. Andrew did very well at answering the questions.
During today's Chemistry classes, we continued working on the concept of solutions, we learned how to identify the solute and the solvent and we introduced the concept of molar concentration.
During today's Chemistry class, we worked on finding everyday-life examples of solutions and identifying their theoretical concentration. With this activity, Jaydn was able to get a better understanding of the concepts.
In today's class, we worked on as assignment that covers what Andrew learned on VSEPR theory. I gave Andrew a series of compounds and asked him to draw the lewis structure and give me the shape of the molecule. Andrew did extremely well.
