Aiden and I discussed and diagrammed how gravitational force is equal between two objects, yet the acceleration and mass are different. We contrasted this with how the acceleration of gravity is equal for all objects on Earth, yet their masses and forces are different.

Libby completed her interactive calendar, read and discussed her vocabulary words, finished her calendar talk and calendar writing activity, put together her daily sentence puzzle, and assembled her Mother’s Day gift.
Aiden and I discussed the properties of gravitational force. He used the PhET Interactive simulation "Gravity Force Lab" to explore the properties of gravity.
Teddy completed his interactive calendar, read and discussed his vocabulary words, finished his calendar talk and calendar writing, worked on his phonics activities, put together his daily sentence puzzle, and read and discussed his Scholastic News Magazine about jellyfish.
We reviewed facts about the solar system and PJ completeed two assignments related to it to assess his knowledge. One required him to place an 'X; in the appropriate box to indicate characteristics of asteroids, comets, or meteors. The other was a cut-and paste task requiring him to cut out labels and glue them in their appropriate circles in a Venn diagram. He correctly noted those characteristics unique to comets, those unique to asteroids, and those that the two share in common. When he was done, PJ was permitted to eat the twice-baked potatoes he made in cooking class yesterday.

Colson learned about people's impacts on the environment. He completed the Lesson 2 Launch "Natural Resources", Encounter the Phenomenon "How does cutting down trees impact Earth's systems?" and the Investigation "Falling Forests". He calculated the percent decrease of forested land in the US between 1630 and 2017.
