Today Gwendolyn made white and green chocolate Christmas trees with sprinkles. We melted the chocolate and piped the Christmas trees on pretzel sticks. Next we added some festive sprinkles. We placed them in the freezer for 10 minutes. While the chocolate was setting Gwendolyn cut out round pieces of brownies for the Christmas tree to stand in. They turned out wonderfully.
I wasn't able to bake with Arianna in Ms. Betsey's absence so we came up with a fun alternative. Arianna worked on patterns and fine motor skills, coloring a very detailed picture of a blowfish. We also read "The Polar Express" and worked on visualizing the text.
Today Gwendolyn and I went over our recipes for the next few weeks and made a grocery list of things we need. Next, Gwendolyn make a Hemp Bracelet using the colors that she liked. I then showed her how to add beads to it. It turned out very pretty.
Stephen and I baked M & M Christmas cookies. He mixed the butter, sugar and brown sugar in the KitchenAid mixer. He then added the eggs, vanilla, and flour mixture. Once the ingredients were mixed well Stephen added 2 cups of red and green M & M's. We baked the cookies for 11 minutes.
