We began with the G major scale in broken thirds, and arpeggios. We used the remainder of our time reviewing all three of her ensemble pieces for her upcoming performance.
We began with droning exercises. Next we covered page 35 with G major and e minor scales, thirds, and arpeggios. We practiced the Hayden string quartet for the remainder of our time.
We started with reviewing the three fingered notes on the D string using f#. We went over the time signature 6/8 in reference to the second song for her future violin class. We finished the remainder of our time practicing the first line of her second song.
Today we worked exclusively on scales and exercises because Eudora forgot her ensemble music at school. We began with G major and relative E minor scales and arpeggios. We finished with playing one octave scales only using one string at a time.
We reviewed note location and identification followed by finger exercises using the first, second, and third fingers on each string. Finally, we completed the wild horses song.
We reviewed last week's lesson outline. This included identifying letters, note location, and practicing C major. We finished by practicing the first line of the song "Wild Ponies".
