This morning we completed the grammar lesson on using pronouns in prepositional phrases. Macy completed practice examples in her book in which she found the correct pronoun to complete the sentence. She also read sentences and identified the prepositional phrase and object pronoun in each. She scored a 100% with this activity. Next, she took her lesson 25 spelling and vocabulary test. This included words such as radiant, tolerant, and contestant. She scored a 94%, only missing repellent. Finally, we read chapter 5 in her new novel, The Pioneers Go West. After reading, Macy wrote a five-sentence summary of the book so far. We also added a few more characters to her character organization chart. Macy was given a little time to complete her independent math homework from last night that was not done due to traveling.

Macy seemed a bit reluctant to do her schoolwork today after being away all week. I told her it was important to study before a test and she immediately cooperated and worked to take a practice spelling and vocabulary test. I told her it is almost always beneficial to reread her school texts even though she said she already read it at school in GA before you answer comprehension questions. She said she already answered the questions this week. but it was a good review as she didn't remember all the information.
Macy wrote her assigned Bible verse on the dry erase board using a dry erase marker. She corrected her mistakes (left out only one word and spelling). She wrote the Bible verse on paper to submit for a grade. She scored 100% accuracy. Way to go Macy!
Macy completed a worksheet on the Acronym of Acts.
She worked on her Bible project of assigning colored tabs for verses that matched and showed how to deal with specific feelings (anger, complaining, defiance, being fearful, etc.) via Scripture.
