Chase was tasked with writing a short scene featuring a character with the physical characteristics of someone she likes but the personality of someone she DOESN'T. She placed the character into the context of one of her book titles from last week.
I had her go through some problems as an assessment of retention of the material we have been working on with triangles. We will finish this up next time, and once it is complete, continue onto matrices next time.

Chase and I discussed the pros and could-be-betters of the 1" frame story. Then we continued discussing our story title choices/inspirations from yesterday. Chase began writing the first page of a story inspired by one of her book titles from yesterday.
We read and discussed the 1200-word short story "The School" by Donald Barthelme, with emphasis upon his strategies for development/thematic expression. Next, Chase and I both came up with 10 titles for novels we'd like to write someday and shared our ideas with each other, discussing what inspired our title choices.
