Henry complained of an upset stomach and headache at first. He said his brain wasn't functioning well enough to do math. He said he did not want to go home. Teacher made the decision to offer Henry a game of chess to maybe keep him involved. He accepted, so we played a whole game which lasted the remainder of the session.

Early in session, Henry rushes to bathroom where I find him hugging the toilet bowl saying he felt like throughing up. This seemingly was a false alarm. Then complains of a head ache. Could not focus on any math at which point I suggest a game of chess. He accepts and we play an entire game not mentioning his stomach or headache. At the end of chess game, I told Henry that we can not play chess everyday that he decides he does not feel like math and he agreed. I also warned Henry that he can not be spraying people with his little spray bottle full of water. I did view him spraying Charlie between classes later in the morning.
Henry completes two Middle School Math With Pizzazz activities. First was on Rounding Decimals and the second was on Estimating Sums. He did a near perfect job on both of these with very little assistance form me. It is great to have Henry back at Batt!!

Henry was pretty sharp today. He did get a little tired, so I took him outdoors to shoot baskets for 10 minutes which seem to perk him up a lot.
