Taylor completed Units 11 and 12 in the Sadlier Vocabulary Workshop book. She worked well independently and remained focused throughout the session. Taylor worked on definitions, using vocabulary in context, completing sentences and on synonyms and antonyms. She referred back to the chapter when necessary to help answer questions and facilitate her ability to synthesize and integrate information.

Alexa and I organized her binder at the beginning of class. We then continued our study of Act I. We answered some of the accompanying study guide questions. We used them as a springboard for our discussion. We dissected lines for meaning. We discussed the characterization of MacBeth and Lady Macbeth.

Alexa and I finished reading and interpreting Act I of the play. We read and discussed the plot and the characters. We also read about Macbeth being called the Scottish play because of the folklore of the curse associated with the play. Alexa found this fascinating. We began answering the accompanying study guide questions.

Alexa and I continued our study of Macbeth. We read and studied Act I scene iii. We answered the study guide questions. We also interpreted some of the important lines and underlying meanings. Alexa has done quite well interpreting the language. She offers great interpretation of the play.

Alexa and I studied about the Globe theater and Shakespeare's life. We then discussed the introduction to his shortest play: MACBETH. We then reviewed the accompanying study guide to Act I. We read Act I scenes i and ii. Alexa is enjoying it!

I began the introduction to the play MACBETH. We briefly discussed an overview. I also had pages to color that corresponds to Act I scene iii. Alexa really enjoyed the art work. She also received her wonderful news at the end of the class!!!! Way to go Alexa!!!!!
