Ayden and I read the last two chapters of the book and the epilogue. We discussed the ending. We noted the difficult vocabulary words. Ayden then began to create a Kahout on the computer using the vocabulary words that he had defined while reading the novel.
Ayden and I followed Ms. Lisa's sub plans. We read chapters 54-56 in the Maze Runner, and he chose four vocabulary words to define and add to his list.
Ayden and I continued reading the novel. He summarized the novel for me since I had not read it before. He did a nice job. We stopped, and we discussed the plot of the book. We also answered some of the discussion questions. We also defined difficult vocabulary words. We talked about the skill of using context clues to define words that we don't know.
Rory and I continued our study of the book. We are preparing to take the final quiz on the last section. We also had a good discussion about the differences between the author and the other
Wes. We began preparing for the creation of our Venn diagram.

I graded Rory's quiz on Chapter 6. We discussed the questions and especially discussed the three that he missed. We then continued reading the book. He finished chapter 7, and he took the quiz that accompanied that chapter. We discussed the result of his quiz. We then discussed the creation of a Venn diagram to compare the two main characters in the book.
Rory and I finished reading Part 5 of the book. We had a really great discussion. He also took a quiz over that section and did quite well. We continued reading the text.
