Rory brought his computer today, and we worked diligently on his cumulative project for the novel. We first got him set up on google so that he can use google docs. Rory had written a series of double journal entries as we were reading the text. His project will consist of ten quotes from the book, properly cited, and his analysis/interpretation will accompany each quote. So far, so good:)
Rory and I made an outline for his final PowerPoint on the novel. We chose which quotes that he would cite. We talked about writing an introduction with a thesis statement to be included at the beginning. We also discussed the next book that we would read and study in class. We explored several titles.
Rory and I finished the book today. We discussed the ending. We discussed the author's purpose for writing and the author's message. We discussed in great detail Rory's final assignment for the book. He will use his double journal entries with correct in-text citations to create his power point on the book. We began composing a thesis for his assignment.
