Jayne worked on her book, "A Box in the Garden."

Jayne was absent.

Jayne spent most of the session writing, then toward the end, we took turns reading "The Hate U Give" and discussing the main character.

Jayne continued to write, then she and I took turns reading "The Hate U Give". As usual, there were great discussions.

Jayne chose again to work on her short stories and then read for the remainder of the time. She wound up writing for the whole period. She was completely focused on her work.

Jayne continued to write her story. We then moved on to read more of "The Hate U Give" and discussing how the experiences of the main character were relatable on some level.

Jayne worked on her story while I silently edited on my computer. We spend agreed to time working on possible changes together. We then continued to read from "The Hate U Give" and discussed the storyline and appropriate and inappropriate use of language.

Jayne chose to write most of the period. Since she prefers that I not watch her write, she sends me her work, on which I then offer suggestions for editing.

We switched from reading "The Hate U Give" to Jayne's working on her stories while I edited.

Jayne wanted to work on her short story the entire hour, and did so. Her concentration and commitment is amazing.
