PJ did research on the different types of special effect makeup he will be able to work on once his makeup arrives. He shared Five Nights at Freddy's as an example of horror. It's based on a game and some of the action involves vandalizing and getting attacked.

When I entered, PJ immediately asked me if I knew that former president Trump had an attempted assassination on him over the weekend. It clearly was on the top of his mind. I told him I had heard about it, and I was shocked that, once again, someone was trying to assassinate our former president. He then went on to tell me that DEMOCRATS are trying to kill Trump. That isn't very clear, and I left that right there. He seems confused.

I subbed for Jason's drama class. Just before the bell I found Jason in Adian's room being restrained by Aiden. I immediately told Aiden to release Jason. Aiden explained that Jason was trying to bite him. I had a conversation with Jason about not biting people. His answer was that Aiden's arms looked like delicious chicken. I responded that that was a totally inappropriate reason, and that biting was not an acceptable behavior. I also reminded him that he was not to be in another student's room.

Jason pretended to be blown by a tornado in an improv exercise. Jason recalled the storyline of Matilda from our last lesson. Jason was introduced to a different musical, The Lion King. Jason did a quick lesson about characters. He named the two characters and then gave them dialogue. He played a mirror acting game.

Jason was eating for a while during class. He was in a good mood but was hesitant to do the drama activities that I was trying to introduce. When we did the exercise with the two characters that I explained in the summary, he called the characters "Mr. poop and Dumb Dumb." I give him breaks to watch his comedy videos but he has a hard time getting back to the task at hand.He played the mirror acting game I mentioned above but he first screamed no when I first said it was time to pause the video and do another acting activity. He also tried to squeeze my hand hard before doing the game. I just let him know he was hurting me and to stop. He stopped. He had fun doing the mirror game. He smiled, and I had a turn and he had a turn.

PJ is very much into gaming. I think he wishes this class was a gaming class. He is pleasant to work with but loves to go off topic and do other activities. Redirecting is difficult.
