Lesson Outline
Work on how to answer questions for nonfiction passages. Pre-read the questions to find ones that are focused and how to find the detail in the passage. Practice scanning the passage for important vocabulary that stands out based on the title. Answer the questions and review the answers.

After brainstorming about some ideas for movies Chris has been thinking about, we researched scripts for animated movies and how they are written. We read them together to get an idea of how these scripts develop and how they are different than normal writing and reading.

Continue to do passage reading practice and answering questions. Have Chris point out the focus questions and then go to where he can find the answers before reading the entire passage...show that he may be able to answer some of the general passage questions from the other answers.
