Hunter views the various trades and what they do to remodel a basement. How do you sweat solder copper pipes? How do you install walls against cinder block walls? How do you install electrical wiring? How do you install insulation? How do you install and mud drywall? How do you install bathroom tile? Great session.
Hunter will complete the first pattern of the string art project. Once complete Hunter will use the blue string to complete his second pattern. I will walk him through the process.
Hour 1:
Hunter will be given a string art template that will be applied to a .5" thick board. Hunter will extend certain points of the template from 1" to 3". By doing this operation this will create a new design but based on the same pattern.
Hour 2:
Hunter will number all of the new points (1 to 80) that he has created. He will be brought outside where he will place nails in all the points that he created. Hunter will use a blue or a black string and complete the first of two patterns for the string art project.
Today we talked about some areas of home maintenance that every homeowner should be concerned about. Outdoor chalking, cracks in bricks, roof flashing, mildew, garbage disposal, A/C and furnace filters, hot water heater, ceramic tile grout, smoke detectors, faucet aerators and more. Great session.
Today, Hunter learns not only how drywall is made, but how the patching and seams are completed. He further learns how to properly "toenail". Lastly, he learns how it is possible for man only 5' 6" tall to patch an 8' ceiling without a ladder!! Great session.
Hunter will complete his webpage's about page by adding in staff images, names, and titles. The remaining part of the class will be used for Hunter's portfolio page. Hunter will have to
proofread his project description paragraphs, check for spelling errors, grammar errors, and overall flow.
