Ayden and I watched the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" to celebrate finishing the play and unit project. Like all of the films based on J.K. Rowling's writings, it was very true to the original.

Ayden always includes a friend to watch, a kid named Noah that he met online gaming. I find this endearing. On another note, Denise wants Ayden to study the PERT over break. I will send an email with links to practice tests to Ayden and Denise, but I'm not sure how to enforce. Thoughts?
Ayden and I finished the play, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. With my guidance, Ayden created a Google Slides presentation explaining the setting, characters, and plot. He included a reference page using APA citation. Ayden shared the presentation with Miss Judie.

I was very pleased with Ayden's work today. He did not "freeze up" when asked to write and only needed help with spelling.
Ayden took the PERT reading section today and received an 89; I hear that he was happy with his experience. I logged on at our usual time (2:30), but Ayden did not show up. I texted Elise, who called Denise, but there was no response. I texted Ayden that I was online to teach, but I did not get a reply. I stayed on the line for 25 minutes and then ended the session.
We co-read the play for 45 minutes. Ayden is reading well and picks up on many inferences that I miss, to be honest. The world of Harry Potter is incredible for engaging readers of all ages.
Ayden and I co-read "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." We paused to make predictions and to make sense of the rapidly shifting points of view. I am pleased with the challenging vocabulary found in the text.
