At the marine life center Rowan was distracted by a lot of exhibits, but was able to read through information and tell me things. When we got back we wrote a paragraph about one of the turtles. He was really frustrated and did not want to do it, but eventually he did, and did a really good job writing things in his own words.
We went to Busch wildlife sancturary. Rowan printed out the directions on mapquest and guided me there . He had done some research on the Florida Panther and American alligator and told me about it. He navigated home using the map.
rowan organized his room and made decisions about where to place things. He then took orders for lunch. We spend the last half of the period playing monopoly. Rowan struggled some with the concept of making change, and with counting money. We will finish the game next week. He really enjoyed it, but it was a challenge for him.

rowan did not do his homework this week. He had no excuse, and I was disappointed. He ended up having to do it during class (write his flyer) and I felt the results were not as good as he could have done. We learned how to use the photocopier, the paper cutter, and had to figure out how many flyers to make and how to distribute them.
We wrote down our goals for the recycling program, and how we were going to achieve them. Rowan also collected people's orders for lunch.

hard day. Rowan was stressed about taking lunch orders, but I think it was easier than he thought. Writing our goals includes the concepts of headings and subheadings in a Word doc, which we needed to spend some time on.
Rowan was pretty frustrated by the end, but we accomplished getting his office clean. He signed a "pact" about where papers go, and how many pencils he can have in the room.
FUN FRIDAY- he deserved it after standardized testing - caught grasshoppers, played with bubbles on the playground, read two silly stories and a joke book.
