We went outside to do this assignment. Rowan was unhappy and very rude during the session. He did not want to do it. He was very unhappy about his computer and his mouse (broken), which he wanted to fix during class time.
Raquel did a great job finishing her family tree, so today we spent the class researching the genetics of eating disorders. She's in good shape for her project and is ready to start writing the paper for it.
Cameron is taking the FCAT this week, so he didn't have any assignments to work on. However, he did finally finish the Lord of the Flies, so we were able to spend the hour having a very interesting discussion about it. He did a very good job of remembering the characters and details of the book, but missed the larger themes and message. We had a great discussion about the mob mentality and how it plays out in modern society. I think he got a lot out of reading it.
Print a map to the bowling alley. Navigate us there. Tell the attendant what we need. Bowl, stay seated while I bowl, don't get frustrated, understand the scoring, cheer on your teammate, don't spin the chairs in the bowling alley.

Lesson Comments
Rowan had fun! We worked on his map skills to navigate there. He told the attendant everything we needed. He independenly picked out his ball and bowled. He needed some redirection at the bowling alley to not wander around while I bowled, and to stop spinning the chairs. He only got frustrated a few times (he had asked for bumpers).
