Cabo was remote today. He answered the call but did not seem to want to work on chemistry homework. We did some critical thinking exercises to fill in the time. He started mocking the idea of discussing heroes, but after a few minutes he came around and made some good comments!
Today Cabo was assigned homework in chemistry, and since he is remote this week, I uploaded all of the textbook pages he needs to his Teams homework folder. He has Spanish and history to complete as well. We will continue with new critical thinking exercises Wednesday.

Cabo was remote again today and did not appear to do much of his homework. We discussed critical thinking exercises and plan to do more of these Wednesday.
Today we discussed strategy for continuing Pert exams vs. starting to work toward taking the SAT exam. We also discussed building the presentation geared towards potential investors in the smoothie business.

Bobby indicated that he missed passing the reading section of the Pert test by 4 points (likely just one wrong question too many). He is still scheduled to take the math section of Pert on Wednesday at 9:30am but given the results on reading, I'm not sure if he will take the math. He said he would let us know later today.
Today we reviewed 5 critical thinking questions and then discussed homework assigned today. Chemistry homework was assigned but the text was here at school while Cabo is remote. I uploaded the pages needed to his homework folder. Cabo was also assigned Spanish where he should translate Abraham Lincoln information from English to Spanish.

Cabo (remote today) was mostly goofing off and playing video games while we were talking. I took pictures of the pages he needs to do his chemistry homework and uploaded them. He confirmed that he knows he has homework in Spanish and chemistry, but did not complete it during our session. I am planning more critical thinking ideas for the rest of the week.
Today Bobby started building his PowerPoint slide deck for his smoothie business idea. We started using a template provided on PowerPoint and created an introduction slide and agenda. After break we will complete the presentation and make a plan to present it.

Bobby was excited to begin building his PowerPoint presentation. He likes the idea that we are working along the same idea as the TV show "Shark Tank" which he is very familiar with. I remain hopeful that he can pass the last chance Pert makeup tests in the first week of January.
Today we scheduled Bobby to retake the reading and math sections of the Pert test at Palm Beach Gardens PBSC campus. Appointments are Monday 1/4 at 9:30am and Wednesday 1/6 at 9:30am.

Bobby and I scheduled his final retake attempts for the reading and math sections of the Pert test. He will take them on January 4th and 6th at PBSC. These will be his 3rd attempts on these sections. Classes start on 1/11/2021 so let's hope he passes!
Cabo was reassigned chemistry homework not yet completed. After this was worked on today, we used the remaining time for critical thinking exercises including brain teasers.

Cabo was slow to get started with his chemistry homework which was reassigned from Tuesday. After working on that, we did critical thinking exercises the remainder of the time. He was not assigned any new homework in other classes held today (English, history, geometry).
Today Bobby is taking one section of the Pert exam at PBSC in Palm Beach Gardens, so he did not answer the Teams call at 8:30am.
