Today we discussed valuation metrics and focused on earnings multiple. We projected 3 year forward value of the proposed smoothie company based on web research we did in class.

Today Bobby and I discussed valuation metrics and used examples of public companies such as Apple and Tesla. This was a good basis of understanding for multiples of sales and earnings.

Bobby is already knowledgeable regarding stock investing which helped in our discussion of business valuation. We are trying to value the company fairly so that he could ask investors for start up funds based on a fair price for a share of his business.

Today We scheduled Bobby to take one section of the PERT test on both Monday and Thursday next week (12/14 & 12/17) at 9:30am each time. Bobby has the detailed confirmations of these appointments in his email. After that we discussed the "Price to Sales" valuation ratio.

Cabo was assigned English and chemistry. In addition, Glenn told me that Cabo has a scheduled test coming on Friday so he should be studying for that too. Cabo told me he also has a chemistry test on Friday. Rosie uploaded a document to Cabo's homework folder but Cabo spent the first 20 minutes of our session playing war games on his computer despite my repeated attempts to get him to start homework. Cabo spent the second half of his time studying chemistry and history for his upcoming tests.

Today Bobby calculated a valuation on his smoothie business based on percentage of sales. We calculated the business value in 3 years based on 30%, 35%, and 40% of annual sales. Tomorrow we will do a valuation based on 2 to 3 times annual profits in year 3.

Today Bobby forecasted the revenue, costs, and calculated total funds needed to start the smoothie business. In our next session, we will estimate the future value of the business using "Price to Sales" and "Price to Earnings" ratios.

Cabo watched a video during the first 15 minutes of our session today. Then he said he would work on the Geometry - 6 problems assigned in a worksheet. He showed me they were completed. Cabo could not do the English assignment because the website login provided by Franny was not correct (I checked). I emailed Franny to advise. Cabo worked on Spanish after that.
