Preterite Irregulars
Lesson Outline
Cabo and I reviewed some of the new vocabulary that he is encountering.

He was also given a brief amount of time to create notecards for the words that he had missed for Chapter 9.

We then reviewed the common irregulars in the preterite.

Cabo was very proud of himself. He had remembered some of the key preterite irregulars on his own.

This class was being conducted entirely in Spanish. At one point when discussing the grammar, Cabo requested that I switch to English. I did so just while teaching the grammar.

Communication Day
Lesson Outline
Cabo and I had a communication day.

I spoke with Cabo about topics that he enjoys.

But, when communicating, I spoke with Cabo in Spanish for 95% of the messages or more in Spanish. We discussed interesting vocabulary that we came across as it came up.

For examples, we spoke about ganar, ejercito, and capitals and major cities of Latin American countries.

Follow Up: I asked Cabo about some of the new vocabulary that we encountered during this session on the following day. He had retained the portion of the information that I asked him about until the next day.
